Core Drilling
About Concrete Construction has a wide range of core drilling equipment to suit every application. We have invested in the latest machinery from Europe and the USA. We have electric and hydraulic machines capable of drilling reinforced concrete or brick work for pipes and penetrations. This equipment is capable of drilling horizontally, vertically and inverted. Holes can be drilled to varying depths and diameters. We have recently drilled cores to a depth of 14 metres with accurate tolerances. ACC has a full range of core bit sizes from14mm up to 650mm. Core drilling a series of holes, called stitch drilling, is used to achieve a penetration where sawing is not possible.
Core drilling can also be used to eliminate over cutting by core drilling the corners of a penetration prior to sawing. By working closely with our suppliers and with a fully equipped workshop we can develop a drilling system for any application.
Specially designed segments are made to increase speed through heavy steel reinforcing and varying strengths of concrete encountered in the drilling process. Special drilling platforms can be manufactured to suit your core drilling application.
